Kay and Beate, a German couple in their fifties, decide to open their relationship to polyamory after 30 years of Christian marriage—attending sex-positive events, visiting a poly-friendly therapist, and engaging in intimate connections across Europe.

In Estonia, the legacy of the Soviet era and a conservative political climate make it difficult to break away from traditional family structures. For Marianne, meeting Kay becomes a liberating experience; for her husband, it triggers a crisis that leads to hospitalization for anxiety.

Riita and Taavi, after ten years of an on-and-off relationship, hope that forming connections with other partners will reignite their own bond.

With the guidance of a therapist, they begin their journey with a clearly defined agreement on rules and boundaries.
